About ArLA Village
ArLA Village was created with one simple belief: we are not meant to raise children alone.
As humans, we are wired for community. Parenting has never been designed to happen in isolation — it has always taken a village. For many of us living in Australia, far from the countries and families we grew up with, that sense of “village” can feel distant.
For migrant mothers and caregivers, the journey can feel even more complex — navigating a new culture, language, professional identity and motherhood at the same time. ArLA Village exists to create a space of connection, understanding and mutual support among Latina architects and designers who are also parents or carers.
This is a space to feel seen, supported and inspired.
